Beef Salad

Ingredients

400g sirloin steak, thinly sliced and lightly blanched in boiling water
2 kosaji dried wakame seaseed, soaked in cold water
1 cucumber, julienned
3/4 carrot, peeled and julienned
250g daikon radish, peeled and julienned
12 cherry tomatoes, halved
SESAME DRESSING:
6tb white sesame seeds, toasted
1tb sugar
1 tb mirin
5tb soy sauce
7 tb rice vinegar
100ml dashi

Steps

  1. Grind toasted white sesame seeds in a mortar. Then mix with the rest of the dressing ingredients to make the salad dressing. Divide into four bowls.
  2. Arrange beef, wakame, cucumber, carrot, daikon, and tomatoes neatly on four bowls. Serve with the sesame dressing on the side.
