Pork with Burdock & Carrots

Ingredients

400g pork 豚こま肉薄切り
300g carrot
300g burdock
100cc water
2 kosaji hon dashi
(A) 2 osaji mirin
(A) 2 osaji sugar
(A) 4 osaji soy sauce
Sesame seeds

Steps

  1. Cut the carrots and burdock into irregular slices. Cut the minced pork into bite-sized pieces. Soak the burdock in water for 5 minutes.
  2. Fry the minced pork in sesame oil, and when it changes color, add the carrots and burdock and stir fry until coated with the oil.
  3. Add water and hon dashi, cover and steam for 7 minutes.
  4. Add (A) and simmer until all the water has evaporated, then sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds. Serve.
