Tofu Hamburg Steak

Ingredients

200g silken tofu
1 cup (200cc) breadcrumbs
300g ground meat
(A) salt
(A) nutmeg
(A) black pepper
(A) 2 eggs
(B) 5 osaji ketchup
(B) 5 osaji Worcestershire sauce
(B) 2 osaji soy sauce
broccoli or another vegetable as a side dish

Steps

  1. Put the tofu in a large bowl and mash it with your hands.
  2. Mix in the breadcrumbs, making sure that the breadcrumbs and tofu are evenly mixed.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together (A). Then add (A) to the breadcrumb / tofu mix and kneed it thoroughly with your hands until all the ingredients are blended in well.
  4. Add some salad oil to a pan without turning on the heat. Form 3-4 patties with the meat mixture.
  5. Turn on the heat and cook for a few minutes. When the bottoms start to look well cooked (without being burned), turn over and cook until the patties don’t have any pink remaining. Serve on plates.
  6. Without cleaning the fry pan, add (B) to the pan and cook it for a couple of minutes without burning it.
  7. Pour the sauce over the patties.
  8. Serve with broccoli or another vegetable side dish.
